The Department Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering (AIBE for short) is one of six departments in the Faculty of Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The 11 professorships of AIBE link the increasingly significant influence of AI with (bio)medical technology and in this way contribute to better medical care in the future. The main areas of research that students at AIBE get to know include intelligent assistance robots, safe AI, neural interfaces, computer-assisted imaging, surgical robotics and AI as a diagnostic tool and aid.

The Study Service Center (SSC) AIBE is the central point of contact for students of the department AIBE. We answer your questions about our Bachelor’s degree program “Artificial Intelligence (B. Sc.)” from the beginning to the end of your studies.
