In a pioneering initiative, the department of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering (AIBE) and the Center for Intelligent Imaging at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) have joined forces to foster academic collaboration. AIBE’s delegation recently visited UCSF, marking the first stage of their partnership. The collaboration aims to send several master’s students from FAU to UCSF for their thesis research in the coming years. Already, the first student from the “Computational Imaging Lab” is hard at work on his thesis at UCSF, while a second student from “Biomedical Network Science Lab” is set to join in fall this year. This dynamic collaboration promises ground-breaking research and unparalleled learning opportunities at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomedical engineering.
